Skin Revival - Treating Dry / Dehydrated Skin

This one's for all my dehydrated, normal-to-dry, or dry skin type readers. I'm one of those "lucky" people that has normal-to-dry and dehydrated skin. When I get out of the shower, before any skincare, I feel like scratching my face off-- it's tight, itchy, & a tad flaky. Anyone else deal with this or is it just me? Luckily, over the years I have found products that revive my skin by hydrating, moisturizing, and soothing my skin even before a moisturizer is applied.

Using a moisturizer is a given with any skin type. I wanted to show you products I use to treat the skin, before applying any lotions or creams, because let's face it (no pun intended), a heavy moisturizer just isn't always the answer. So today I'm sharing 5 picks that revive my dry/dehydrated skin back to it's glowing, smooth complexion.

Lancôme Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner
A "milky" toner that instantly hydrates and soothes skin. I use this right after showering, on a cotton round and wipe all over my face and neck. It takes away any itchiness, tightness, and even tones down dry patches, sometimes makes them go away all together. Made with honey and sweet almond extract, the scent is subtle and clean. I absolutely love this stuff, can't live without.

MAC Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion
A light-weight serum that gives a boost of hydration, while also making a great primer for foundation. My skin is still a little dry at this point in my routine though, so I also follow with a moisturizer, but for normal or oily skin types could get away with using this as a 2-1 (hydrate and prime) product. It's pretty expensive, but highly concentrated, so a little goes a long way.

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil
An oil that intensely hydrates the skin, nails & hair. I used to use this on my buzzed head because it was so dry from the bleach, it gave me instant relief. Now I mainly use it mixed with my foundation (only a drop), or in place of the MAC Moisture Infusion. Everyone should have this on hand.

St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub
I'm sorry to say that this exact scrub is no longer available, this one is very similar. A gritty exfoliator made with 100% natural extracts leaving the skin radiant and smooth. I keep this in my shower and use it 4-5 times a week. It gets rid of any flakiness and makes my skin feel nice and smooth. I really, really love this stuff and it's a staple in my skincare routine.

Freeman Overnight Sleeping Mask - Honeydew and Chamomile
A ultra-hydrating facial mask that's worn while you sleep. I've always been told the skin repairs itself at night, so this mask helps assist to re-hydrate & rejuvenate your skin. The mask goes on like a cream and dries down after a few minutes (so it doesn't ruin your pillows), then rinse off in the morning. You can get about 2-4 uses out of that little package, which is a pretty good deal.

Taking care of your specific skin type needs is so important. I've always told clients that skincare is #1, because if the skin isn't taken care of, no amount of makeup is going to look that great on top of it. I hope you saw a couple new products to try and definitely tell me the products you use to keep your skin hydrated and radiant.
