On Repeat 005 // Summer Chill

On Repeat 005 // Summer Edition

Music is food for the soul.

Who's excitedddd? On Repeat is back again and I'm seriously loving the 5 tracks I'm sharing today! I quite literally have had them on repeat, and I'm sure at least 1 or 2 of them you have too. But if not, welcome to your latest playlist additions. Hope you enjoy!

Benji Lewis - Drift

Perfect for a chill day, this easy-going tune is a go-to in the mornings on the way to work.

Jax Jones - You Don't Know Me (ft. RAYE)

This is one that gets stuck in my head and I'm singing "na na ay" all. day. longgg (but I secretly love it). Give it a listen.

Post Malone - Congratulations ft. Quavo

I'm sure a lot of you have heard this one, but I'm on a Post Malone kick right now so I wanted to included it. This one is a chill-hype song, if that makes any sense, haha.

Noah Cyrus - Stay Together

This is my anthem for the summer! It's probably favorite on this list and can you blame me for my choice? It's a sing along and wave your hands in the air type of song. (Wow, I'm really into these descriptions. haha) I just love it.

MAX - Lights Down Low (Ft. Gnash)

This is a newer discovery for me, but I was instantly hooked. I obviously am into smooth/chill songs for summer and this falls suit. His voice is pretty dreamy too.

There you have it-- my top 5 songs of the moment. Did you discover any new faves? Let me know what you're listening too, I love finding new music to add to my library. Happy summer listening, yall.

Find any new favorites?? Mine is probably Guru, or Unique. By the way guys, I'm trying to find a better option for sharing the music in my posts. I would love to do it with Spotify but I can't get it to work, the songs simply don't play when I try. I'll keep working on it, but if any of you have suggestions I'd greatly appreciate them!

What Songs have you had on repeat lately? Share them with me!

On Repeat | 003

Today I'm back with my 3rd installment of my series On Repeat where I share a few I've been listening to practically on repeat for the last few weeks (or months). Music is so essential to my life and happiness and always love discovering new artists and songs that can "feed my soul". Let's see what's been in my ears lately...

1. Leon - Tired of Talking

It's rare if I really, really like a song with a female vocalist, but she has such a nice, almost raspy voice and the music/beat is upbeat. Feel good song.

2. Nico & Vinz - Our Love

I didn't realize Nico & Vinz also sang Am I Wrong, which I was all over the radio. Our Love is equally as good, it's a little more fast paced, and their vocals are so good I just love listening to this one.

3. Hermitude - Ukiyo

Before randomly finding them on Spotify, I had never heard of Hermitude, but I instantly fell in love with this song for it's electro beats and feel good vibes. Give it a listen!

4. Bondax - Temptation

Another artist I'd never heard of before hearing them on Spotify. This song has the electronic beats but it is a little darker, not so "happy-go-lucky". It has a little more emotion to it, which I can appreciate.

5. Mutemath - Used To

Great beats, great vocals, good lyrics. This song just spoke to me and I love to blast this one in my car. Makes me feel a certain something, which is what draws me to music in the first place. This might be my favorite of the bunch, definitely listen!

Lately, I have been more into EDM, electronic stuff with good beats, and feel good vibes. What have you been listening to lately?

On Repeat | 002

On Repeat | 002

I'm so happy to be back with the 2nd post in my series 'On Repeat'. Where I share music I've been listening to basically on repeat for however long. I actually launched Blush + Soul with this series, see it here. Music is, and always has been, such an influence & big part of my life. So today I'm sharing 5 songs I've been loving lately. (Sorry for the cracked phone, it's being replaced soon! haha)

On Repeat - A New Series

It's only fitting that I kick off Blush + Soul with a post about music. After all, music was the first thing I ever referred to as "food for the soul", and it really is. It speaks to me in a way other forms of communication just can't...you know what I'm saying?

So, I thought I'd start this series...'On Repeat', where I share a few songs that I've been listening to over and over. I haven't decided if these will be bi-weekly, or monthly, so let me know how often you'd like to see me post new music. Ok, ok-- lets get into the songs!

JAMES BAY - Hold Back The River
I have been LOVING James Bay lately! He is a fairly new artist with his debut album (Chaos And The Calm) coming out March 2015. 'Hold Back The River' is off the album and it is perfection to my ears.

IVAN B - The Miles Between
He is an amazing writer and artist. He's a teenager trying to make it that I found on SoundCloud. This was the right song at the right time, the lyrics hit home and I haven't be able to stop listening yet. I like his other songs too.

JAMES BAY - Let It Go
Ok, another James Bay song, but it's the one that got me! This song turned me into a fan. It's mainly just him and a guitar, and man is it beautiful. This is also on the new album. It's a little sad, but beautiful nonetheless.

BAHAMAS - All The Time
This song is a sit back, relax, and chill type of song. The guitar is my favorite part of the song. I listen to this when I'm stressed, blogging, relaxing, and it's just one of those good ones.

LIGHTS - Up We Go
Up We Go is definitely the most upbeat of the 5 songs. It's a feel good song with a catchy beat. It's also the only female vocalists I have on the list. Give it a listen.

Well, what'd you think, did you find any new favorites? James Bay is obviously my favorite, I really think he will become much more well known this year, I'm calling it now. I hope I introduced you to at least one new artist/song that you can add to your playlist.

Tell me a song that you've had on repeat, I'd love to know.
