Hi guys! I wanted to do a bold Spring/Summer look today. If you've followed me for a while, you'll almost always see me in a nude, or peachy lip color, so I opted for a cool undertone, bright pink to push myself out of my box. I ended up putting on some semi-spiky lashes to tie the look together. What do you think, would you rock this look for upcoming Spring/Summer seasons?
First, I want to apologize for the little disappearing act I've pulled the last few weeks. I've made a few changes in my life and in return, got a little behind on the blogging front. Butttt, I'm hoping I can make it up to you today. For the last several months I have been considering doing YouTube videos again and I finally made room in my life to do it (if you follow me on social media, you probably know this). Today I'm talking you through some makeup products that I finally got to check off of my wish list. Shopping for my kit is probably one of the many perks of being a Makeup Artist and I hope you enjoy this haul video. I'm so excited and ready to start this journey again.
When it comes to makeup I've always had a thing for lip products, probably something about all the colors and textures to choose from. With spring right around the corner, I decided it was time for some new additions to liven up the ole lip drawer at home. I went with 5 picks from the Drugstore, and I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised how much I like these already.
This one's for all my dehydrated, normal-to-dry, or dry skin type readers. I'm one of those "lucky" people that has normal-to-dry and dehydrated skin. When I get out of the shower, before any skincare, I feel like scratching my face off-- it's tight, itchy, & a tad flaky. Anyone else deal with this or is it just me? Luckily, over the years I have found products that revive my skin by hydrating, moisturizing, and soothing my skin even before a moisturizer is applied.
Today I'm back with my 2nd installment of the 'Hidden Gems' series. If you missed the introductory post, you can read it here. Basically, I show you products that I don't see super hyped up on social media and in the blogging world that I feel deserve some attention and credit. Oh, and they are (most of the time) cost friendly - yay! Let's get into it, shall we?
Have you ever been out in public and something not-so-great happens? You chip a nail, your contact falls out, you get food in your teeth (--stupid broccoli), or the worst...you start your period unexpectedly? Yeah, we're gettin' personal. Well if you're anything like me, you've experienced more than one of those "oh no!" moments (and probablyyyy more than once if we're being honest). So today I'm taking you through my 'beauty backups' that live in my purse, ready to save me at a moments notice from those dreadful mishaps.
